Life in Glasgow
It looks like all the walking in HELP has made me ready for the more - walking in Glasgow!!
Greetings From Glasgow!
The weather is something i have to get used to :) its like sometimes rainy sunny and then windy and drizzling not to mention cold!
Mum was with me from the 17th to the 22th. Anyway familiarizing myself with the transport systems as glasgow runs via the first bus :) and city bus.
I am currently staying in the Wolfson Hall Accomodation. Its self catered so got warm food.
Classes start only on the 26th so can bumm around a bit till then :)
Sadly internet connection is down and i think i will switching to word press soon. Easier to upload pictures and blog.

Life turned its pages so fast when an offer came from the Uni of Glasgow and I was already all set to go to Trinity College Dublin. One of the greates dilemnas of my life so too speak for the past 18 years. ( from deciding what colour shirt i should buy for eg.) I was like in front of the computer, checking email and then... "Dear Stefanie.. we are proud to offer you a conditional offer from Uni of Glasgow... " I was like... " MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM" tuition fees for TCD was already paid for the year and so was the accomodation! Luckily can get the refund
Adviced by my elder brother to make a comparison of both the unis, cost etc. and also mum emailed aunties and uncles. I thnk that night i slept only like 1 am after getting eerything done! After praying and thinking thouroughly through. It was Uni of Glasgow.
Mum say it was a blessing in disguise.
So started to get everything, like for eg. Big Big Luggage bag plus a small one. and then a blue rice cooker etc. thermals ( undergarments aka long johns *grins*). Looked through all the woolies mum kept in a chest, and all so big which most of them belong to my dad and elder bro and some bought. Got the letters from the Uni of Glasgow, and they required Criminal Record Police Check. Supposedly had to go down to the police station to get the letter. However i and my mum was directed to go to BA ( the HQ), scary...
And Chest X Ray etc. renew passport ( very efficient MALAYSIA BOLEH) and speaking about the Va. And about flight tickets which were suppose t be scheduled on the 13th was terminated ( due to some travel agent problem) so i and my mum headed down to grand park royal hotel to see the KLM Flight tickets counter. tickets booked and CONFIRMED! Am sorry to those who i have not imformed about my postpone of departure date. Was so tied down and things kept popping up
Gosh... went last wednesday( was there from 9 to 9 pm).. only managed to get on wednesday ( supposesd to be 2-5 days max!). Looked into my envelope with all the documents.. Va Rejected. I was like OMG and i am leaving this sunday. So quickly the next day went to the BHC and asked how to go about it. supposed to make 5 sets of the form, etc. and well the hardest road i have tried to cross is Amp Rd.
Anyway I AM SO GLAD I FINALLY GOT my Va!
Speaking about accomodation, due to my offer which came late, i was given a place far from the uni, and it was self catering and more exp. but however things came around as they had a twin room for me and it is self catered at Wolfson Hall. ( yipee.. no need cook :P anyway mum says i have a year to brush up on my cooking skills)
I hope Bernice is doing well in Dublin :D and my best wishes to sue wei :) will miss you all!!!
Went Last two saturdays ago to Low yat ( first time) with Christopher :D it was really an experience to remember :D there is such a thing as chicken buffet at berjaya times square ( normally the place i go for scrabble tourneys) Bought Cds, laptop lock, usb hub, mic ( for home and my laptop). Date + Shopping for com stuff :D wanted to get slurpee but then it was like watery..ew :P no brain freeze. Had ice cream ( chocolate chip ) shared :D but i think one u is better. oh boy, i am going to be overweight when i am on the plane :P
Went for a date to TGIF on last monday night! Evening to remember. I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!! and will MISS YOU TERRIBLY
Made a cake for dad chocolate cake with cream cheese in the middle before he leaves for HK. Sadly i will not be able to see him when i fly off.. SOB.
And today i stuffed myself with durian ( FAT ) (FAT )
and need to budget!! learn how too!
